It was started in 2015 when 56% of lung cancers are found in stage IV with 5 % 5 year survival rate. In our program 58% have been found in stage I which has up to 92% 5 year survival rate. I would love to see more marketing in lung cancer screening!

I agree it is a high yield program and can have a tremendous impact.  Kudos to you all Baptist for starting the program - I worked there nearly a decade ago and miss everyone there.

Certainly a decrease in prostate cancer screening has been experienced in the past with the 2012 USPSTF recommendation against screening impact with unintended consequences including more advanced disease at dx. Our cancer plan goals for prostate cancer revolve around screening priorities including discussion and screening at risk populations. Hopefully the temporary COVID impact will be less far reaching than the USPSTF fall out.
